RALEIGH, N.C. – All 14 Wildcats got into the game and 12 scored points but Abilene Christian couldn't pull off a second consecutive Power-5 win on Friday, falling at North Carolina State 84-64.
Immanuel Allen scored 11 points coming off of the bench to lead ACU and Cameron had eight points, including a pair of three-pointers. ACU had 35 bench points with
Leonardo Bettiol adding seven points.
Nasir DeGru added six rebounds and
Aidan Igiehon had five, also in reserve roles.
ACU led only briefly early when Steele hit a three-pointer for a 3-2 lead. NCSU had a 47-27 lead with 1:33 left in the first half and took a 47-29 edge into the halftime lockers.
The Wolfpack led by as many as 29 points in the second half before the Cats scored the final eight points of the game for the final margin.
Colby Tanner converted a four-point play for the final points of the game.
The Wildcats host Prairie View A&M in the ACU home opener at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
