Barber, Cramer pace ACU in shootout against Dixie State

ST. GEORGE, Utah – Grad transfer Tatum Barber tallied 16 points, grad transfer Jamie Bonnarens and freshman Nykale Cramer each added 13 points, but the ACU women's basketball team dropped a shootout against Dixie State on Wednesday night, 95-81. The Wildcats (16-12, 8-9 WAC) trailed the entire night, and faced as much as a 17-point deficit to the Trailblazers (10-18, 6-11 WAC), who shot 54% from the floor in the game. ACU remains in sixth place in the WAC standings, sitting a half game out of Sam Houston (9-9) for fifth place, and a game-and-a-half out of Utah Valley (9-7) for fourth place.

Dixie State set the tone, scoring the first seven points of the game. It led to the 13 three-pointers made and the 54% shooting. ACU got back in it in the first quarter, and pulled within seven in the early moments of the third quarter, but each time, Dixie State had the offensive answer.

- 1Q | Jamie Bonnarens scored the Wildcats' first points of the night, hitting the first of ACU's 12 three-pointers.
- 1Q | Bella Earle hit a three-pointer to put ACU down 9-8, as the teams went back-and-forth early on.
