NACOGDOCHES, Texas — It was a tight battle on Saturday afternoon, but SFA came away with the late bucket to earn the 73-71 win over the Wildcats. ACU opened up as much as a nine-point lead early in the first half, but the Lumberjacks battled back and held a five-point halftime lead. The teams traded buckets down the stretch and the game featured 18 lead changes, but the SFA basket with 1.5 seconds remaining proved to be the difference.

- Coryon Mason hit back-to-back threes to start the game for the Wildcats.
- Mason would score back-to-back buckets again with two layups to give him 10 of the Wildcats first 13 points and put ACU up by nine.
