ABILENE — Abilene Christian returned home to Moody to host crosstown rival McMurry on Tuesday night. A sloppy first 10 minutes of action allowed the Warhawks to hang around early leaving the Wildcats with just a three-point lead at the 9:24 mark of the first half. The team would slowly pull away the rest of the half, going into the locker room with a 20-point advantage. The second half was all ACU as they opened the half on a 6-0 run. After an early three by McMurry in the second half, the Wildcats would hold them scoreless for the next 10 minutes of action. The Wildcats went on a 26-0 run over those ten minutes and came away with a dominant 104-46 victory.

- After the Warhawks took an 11-10 lead on a three, Airion Simmons answered with a bucket and converted a three-point play at the line to put the team back up 13-11.
- Up 21-18 in the first half, the Wildcats went on a 14-0 run to push their lead to 17.
- The Wildcats grabbed two offensive rebounds on a possession that was capped by a layup and a drawn foul for Tobias Cameron to take a 40-23 lead.
- Cameron Steele closed out the first half with a three-point play with just over a second left to push the ACU halftime lead to 20.
- In the first minute and a half of action in the second half, the Wildcats opened on a 6-0 run with two layups and two steals from Damien Daniels.
- The Wildcats held McMurry scoreless for a 10-minute stretch in the second half forcing nine turnovers in that span.
Stat Pack
- Cameron Steele was locked in offensively after struggling to score in the opening two games. The junior went 5-6 from the floor, 2-2 from three, and 3-3 from the free throw line to lead the way with 15 points.
- Freshmen JV Seat, Muodubem Muoneke, Leonardo Bettiol, and Colby Tanner all scored their first career points in the game.
- Tobias Cameron totaled 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists in just 19 minutes of action.
- The Wildcats were plus-12 in turnover margin and totaled 15 steals on the night. The team had a 31-14 advantage for points off turnovers.
- Damien and Tobias have now moved up to 98 career wins while at ACU.
- Joe Pleasant saw his first action back in a Wildcat uniform, checking into the game for the final three minutes of action, tallying two steals and grabbing a rebound.

The Wildcats are on the road all next week as they head to Las Vegas to participate in the Vegas 4 tournament before making their way to Flagstaff, Ariz. To take on Northern Arizona. ACU will face Wright State on Nov. 21 to begin tournament play.
