EDINBURG, Texas—The Wildcats came out with a fire under them in the first set on Thursday night as they hit .467 on their way to a 25-23 opening set win over UTRGV. The Vaqueros responded with a dominant effort at the net in the next two sets and held the Wildcats to an .060 hitting percentage over sets two and three. ACU kept it competitive in the third, but UTRGV pulled away late and earned the four-set victory.
