ACU men fall at #24 Oklahoma, shift focus to Waco visit

NORMAN, Okla. – The ACU men's tennis team was tripped up on Saturday afternoon, falling 7-0 at the hands of nationally-ranked Oklahoma. The Wildcats have opened the season with three straight contests on the road and will remain away from home for their next three matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Tyler Stewart and Daniel Morozov were in a tight 6-5 battle on Court 1 when the Sooner clinched the doubles point. 
• OU took the first two singles points and sat on the brink of a clinch before Mason Beiler won in the top flight to make it a 4-0 edge for the home team. 
• Cesar Barranquero was the last Wildcat to wrap up his singles match, falling 10-8 in a dramatic tiebreaker on Court 5 against OU's Justin Schlageter. 

 
UP NEXT: 

• The Purple and White are back in action this week, heading east to take on Boise State and Baylor in Waco on Sunday and Monday before a visit to TCU on Thursday afternoon.
