EL PASO, Texas – Natalie Jones scored the second goal of her season,
Lily Foster secured her first career shutout, and the ACU soccer team got in the win column Sunday afternoon, edging the UTEP Miners, 1-0. The defense dominated from start to finish, and the offense got multiple good looks to push the Wildcats to 1-1 on the early season, capping off a long, five-day road trip before school starts.
"After Thursday night we had to iron some things out," said head coach
Casey Wilson. "We took a step forward in collectively understanding what is needed to be done to give ourselves a chance to create more opportunities to score. It was a great response as it is always tough to come here on the road and get a win."
