Arteaga, defense shine in Sunday win over McNeese

ABILENE – Christina Arteaga scored the lone goal in the 64th minute, the defense was strong all afternoon, and the ACU soccer team capped the weekend with a bang Sunday against the McNeese Cowgirls, shutting out the visitors 1-0. ACU (5-4-2, 1-2-0 SLC) limited McNeese to just three shots on goal, and gets its first win of the Southland Conference season.

The Goal
- 64' | After a scoreless first half, ACU capitalized in the middle of the second period. Caylen Wright had the ball down the left side, and turned on a dime to send it back to Arteaga.
