ABILENE - Madi Miller scored 19 points,
Taylor Morgan added a career-high 12 points, but the Wildcat women's basketball team fell to the Sam Houston Bearkats Wednesday night at the Teague Special Events Center, 75-55. Sam Houston led the entire way and ACU (12-7, 5-5 SLC) had trouble from the outside, despite shooting 44% from the field. The Wildcats only hit three triples in the game, as they move into the final three games of the season this weekend.
Southland Significance
ACU sits in the ninth spot in the standings at 5-5, but the point system has the 'Cats in eighth. The top eight make it to Katy, Texas for the upcoming Southland Conference Tournament presented by Hercules Tires, and the final three games will be crucial.

ACU will hit the road for the next two games, beginning with a matchup on Saturday in Conway against the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on 102.7 The Bear and ESPN+. The Wildcats will then play SFA in Nacogdoches, Texas next Wednesday, March 3.
