Wildcats shoot 55 percent en route to eighth-straight win

ABILENE, Texas — The Wildcats reached the century mark for the second time on the season and took care of business against Howard Payne on Sunday afternoon. The team started with a 10-0 run and cemented their defense early as they ran away with the 112-41 victory to move to 8-2 on the season.

  • A steal from Reggie Miller and a feed on the break to Cameron Steele set the tone for the game as ACU took the 4-0 lead.
  • Immanuel Allen hit a corner three to give ACU a 13-3 lead four minutes in.
  • A jumper in the paint from Mahki Morris gave the Wildcats a 19-9 lead and the Yellow Jackets would not get within 10 again in the game.
  • With 8:36 left in the first half the Wildcats got two free throws from Furaha Cadeaux de Dieu that started a 18-0 run over the next five minutes.
