STEPHENVILLE, Texas — After a slow start on the road, the Wildcats battled back to make the match competitive on Saturday afternoon.
Lindsey Toney was a dominant force on the outside totaling 25 kills in just three sets of action. ACU was able to take the 25-23 second set win, but fell short in sets three and four, falling 3-1 to the Texans. Three Wildcats hit over .250 in the match and the team edged the Texans in digs 60-51.

News and Notes
- Toney hit .412 with 10 kills in her first set of action in over a week. The senior also notched 10 kills in the third set. She finished with a double-double of 25 kills and 11 digs.
- Madison Rohre had 50 assists for her second 50-plus assist effort in the last three matches.
- Madison Lawler led the Wildcats with 19 digs.
- This was the first meeting between the two teams since ACU left the Lone Star Conference for DI. Tarleton has now won three straight in the series.
- The Texans finished with a 12-2 advantage in blocks.
Up Next
ACU will be back in action next Friday as part of the WAC pod weekend where they will host Tarleton, California Baptist, and Dixie State. The Wildcats will face Dixie State on Friday night at 5 p.m. in the Teague Center. All matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
