Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Last-second free throw downs ACU at home

ABILENE – Breanna Wright tied the game against the UIW Cardinals with 16.6 seconds to play in regulation, hitting a deep NBA-style three-pointer to even the game at 70 apiece. However, the visiting Cardinals would draw a foul on ACU with just one second remaining, and Imani Robinson hit one of two free throws to win it for Incarnate Word. Makayla Mabry's last-second heave from near half-court was off the mark, and UIW topped ACU 71-70 in Moody Coliseum.

Diaper Derby

Anna McLeod cut the game to four early in the third quarter, and minutes later the Cardinals responded to push the lead to 12 points. The key was the three-point shot; UIW went 11-20 from distance, its best outing of the season.
