ABILENE, Texas— The Wildcats hosted McNeese on Wednesday night looking to move to 4-0 in conference play. ACU put their conference-best defense on the line hosting the nation's 16th-ranked offense. The game favored the Cowboys pace as the teams traded buckets throughout the first half with the Wildcats leading 44-43 at the half. McNeese stepped up their offense in the second half and pushed their lead to as many as nine points. The Wildcats attempted to close the gap late, but were unable to pull off the comeback, falling 88-84.

McNeese went on a 9-2 run early in the second half to take a seven-point lead, the Wildcats were unable to get enough stops down the stretch to make a comeback.
