MBB looks to bounce back at Central Arkansas

CONWAY, Ark. – Coming off a tough overtime loss Sam Houston, the Wildcats men's basketball team continues their road trip at Central Arkansas. A perennial Southland Conference contender, the Bears have begun this conference season 4-4, and are only 5-14 overall. ACU will look to bounce back from their loss on Wednesday by grabbing a win in the Farris Center, where the Bears have only lost twice this season.

SERIES HISTORY
- ACU leads the series 6-3, the Wildcats have won three of the last four games.
- The Wildcats won the first three meetings between the teams.
- The teams met twice last season with ACU sweeping the series.
- In their last meeting, Payten Ricks put up 11 points while the Bears' Hayden Koval had eight points, eight rebounds, and six blocks.

ACU STORYLINES
- ACU is coming off an overtime loss at Sam Houston, the team gave up 82 points in the game.
- Coryon Mason is coming off a career-high 19 points, he also totaled four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.  
- ACU still remains the top defense in the conference allowing just 64 points per game.
- The Wildcats are coming off just the third game where they lost the turnover battle, they are 0-3 in those games.
- The team continues to get a balanced scoring effort across the board, against SHSU they had seven different players score seven or more points.

SCOUTING CENTRAL ARKANSAS
- The Bears are averaging just under 75 points per game on offense, but are giving up almost 87 points per game on defense.
- UCA has four players averaging double digit scoring, led by DeAndre Jones who is averaging 15.0 ppg.
- The team has given up over 100 points four times this season, including an overtime loss to Houston Baptist which remains the Huskies only win on the season.
- Big man, Hayden Koval is tied for fourth in the nation in blocked shots, averaging 3.37 blocks per game.
