ABILENE – Abilene Christian women's basketball looks to snap a three-game series losing streak and extend its current five-game winning streak when it visits Johnson Arena Wednesday night for a 6 p.m. game against No. 24 ranked mid major Stephen F. Austin. The Ladyjacks are 23-5 overall, 14-2 vs. the Southland Conference, which includes a 71-55 win at ACU on Jan. 23, and a perfect 15-0 on its home court.
The 12th all-time meeting between ACU and SFA will be streamed on

ACU improved to 19-8 overall and 12-4 vs. the league after winning two very different games last week. The Wildcats first trounced Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Wednesday at home, 72-55, before hanging on to beat Central Arkansas on the road, 67-65, in completing the series season sweep of both teams.
Junior guard
Dominique Golightly, who received a honorable mention for Southland Conference Player of the Week, averaged 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game vs. the Islanders and Sugar Bears while hitting 54.2 percent of her 24 field goal attempts. She additionally connected on four 3-pointers, dished seven assists, blocked a shot and was credited with a pair of steals.
Lexie Ducat also recorded a fine scoring week in averaging 13.5 points per game behind a .636 field-goal percentage and 13 free throws.
Four additional players last week averaged better than 7.5 points per game, including freshman
Madi Miller, who hit the game-winning bucket at UCA with 2.6 seconds left to play in regulation. And the team's .505 field-goal percentage lifted its season mark to .457, which is tops in the Southland and 19th in the NCAA.
ACU dominated the glass as well (75-54) and its +10.5 rebound margin against Corpus Christi and Central Arkansas kept them in the national top-20 at +7.6.
SFA, which lost 62-46 at Lamar Saturday to fall into second place, still claims the Southland's best defense by allowing only 56.4 points per game on 35 percent shooting. Their defense is equally tough beyond the 3-point arc as opponents are being limited to a .262 success rate.
Conversely, SFA is the league's best 3-point shooting team as its No. 1 in percentage (.356), makes (217) and per game (7.8).
Ladyjacks to watch include perimiter shooter Chanell Hayes (1.85 3s per game), Stephanie Visscher (1.71 steals per game) and Imani Johnson (1.31 assist turnover ratio).
