LAS VEGAS— Just two days removed from their tough home loss to Pepperdine the Wildcats suited up against the Runnin' Rebels of UNLV. While UNLV controlled the majority of the game, ACU was never quite out of contention in a tight contest. The Rebels were able to push their lead to double digits on several occasions but the Wildcats found a way to keep the game close. ACU was able to tie the game with just under 10 minutes to play, but UNLV closed the game on a 22-8 run to earn the 72-58 win.
Trey Lenox had the hot hand early in the game scoring all 11 of his points in the first half, going 4-of-5 from the field.
Joe Pleasant earned his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. After being held in check in the first half,
Payten Ricks was able to sink two threes in the second half and finished the game with 10 points.
Key Plays
- The Rebels got out to a quick start, making three of their first five shots including two threes.
- UNLV used a 12-4 run to build their largest first half lead of 12 points.
- Trey Lenox made two threes in the last two and a half minutes of the half to help keep the Wildcats within reach of the Rebels.
- The Wildcats used a 14-2 run midway through the second half to tie the game at 50-all.
- ACU did not score over the last four minutes of game time.

Once again it was a Ricks three that tied the game at 50, but after that shot it was all UNLV as they closed the game on a 22-8 run.
