ABILENE—The Wildcats finished their season in style sending out their seniors with a comeback win to remember. After going down 0-2 to Lamar, ACU battle back to take a close third set before demolishing the Cardinals in set four. Lamar would not break easily in set five, but ACU held on for the 15-12 win to earn the set and match.
An emotional Senior Day ceremony led off the morning as the Wildcats honored their seven seniors. As the match began it seemed as if the emotion of the day was still weighing on the Wildcats as they were unable to get in an offensive rhythm. The team picked up their play in set two, but the Cardinals were still able to come away with the 2-0 advantage heading into set three. ACU would dig deep in set three as they battled for every point. Down 19-16, the Wildcats ran off seven points behind the serve of
Katelyn Mueller to go up 23-19. ACU held on for the 25-23 win. Set four was all ACU. Once again, behind the serve of Mueller, the Wildcats ran off eight straight points to being the set and never looked back. The team won 25-10 and held the momentum going into the decisive set. Another early lead, 4-0, helped the Wildcats gain the momentum needed as the Cardinals got back into rhythm and kept the final set close. With ACU up four points late, Lamar had a three-point run to put the Cardinals within one point, but
Marybeth Sandercox got two huge kills late in the match to give ACU the 14-12 advantage with ACU able to finish the match 15-12.
Sandercox and Mueller led the Wildcats with 15 kills each, while each hit over .300 as well. Mueller notched her only double-double of the season with her 15 kills as well as 12 digs.
Madison Rohre paced the offense, dishing out 47 assists to go along with nine digs.
Lorin McNeil tallied 11 kills on a .304 hitting percentage while also totaling five block assists.
Kennedy Shelstead just missed double figure kills with nine, as well as four block assists.

- Mueller looked back to form in the match hitting .324 with 15 kills and 12 digs. This was her first stellar performance, statistically, since returning from an early season injury.
- Once again, the Wildcats outblocked their opponent with a 9-5 advantage.
- The offense was a balanced attack as three players had double digit kills with another player totaling nine for the match.
- The Wildcats hit .500 as a team in set four, totaling 13 kills with no errors.
- ACU finished the season 5-11 in conference play, just missing out on the Southland tournament.
