ABILENE — ACU's all-time leading 3-point shooter was on her game Saturday afternoon, and that meant the Northwestern State Demons had virtually no chance in a Southland Conference women's game in Moody Coliseum.
Senior guard
Alexis Mason had six of ACU's 13 3-pointers in the game and the Wildcats were never threatened in rolling to a 79-57 win over the Demons, pushing their record to 16-8 overall and keeping them in no worse than third in the league 10-2, depending on the outcome of Saturday night's late games in league play.
Mason buried four of those 3-pointers in a dominant first-half performance by the Wildcats, who went to the half leading 45-26. The Wildcats didn't need her to do much more in the second half as they cruised to their seventh win in their last eight games and their 11th win in 13 home games this season.
