ABILENE – The ACU men's basketball team is back on the floor Tuesday night for its final home game before the Thanksgiving holiday when it hosts Jarvis Christian College in a non-conference game.
Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. from Moody Coliseum as the Wildcats (1-2 on the season) try to get back to .500 before taking a couple of days off. Jarvis Christian (NAIA) enters Tuesday's game at 1-5 after an 85-70 loss at McNeese State (La.) Friday night. The game will not be carried on local radio, but can be seen and heard at

The Wildcats enter Tuesday night's game coming off back-to-back losses at Tulsa (65-39 last Wednesday night) and at home against Duquesne (102-81 on Saturday), although they played much better against the Dukes over the weekend.
In the game against Duquesne, the Wildcats posted their highest point total against a major NCAA Division I program in two seasons. Junior guard
Parker Wentz scored a career-high 31 points in the game on 8 of 13 shooting from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range. Senior guard
Harrison Hawkins had 17 points for the Wildcats.
Wentz leads the Wildcats in scoring through three games at 20.3 points per game, followed by Hawkins at 14.3 ppg and senior guard
LaDarrien Williams at 8.0 ppg.
Jarvis Christian shot 50 percent from the floor against McNeese State (29 of 58), including going 9 of 13 from 3-point range (69.2 percent). However, the Bulldogs were just 3 of 6 from the free throw line, while the Cowboys were a robust 23 of 26 (88.5 percent) from the charity stripe.
DeWayne Wade led the Bulldogs with 18 points, while Dontae Johnson had 13 and Deon Fisher 12 as the Bulldogs hung in against the Cowboys (2-1).
After Tiuesday night's game, the Wildcats will be off until Saturday when they take on the Highlanders of California-Riverside at 1 p.m. PST (3 p.m. Abilene time) in Riverside, Calif. The game can be heard locally on 98.1 FM The Ticket. The Highlanders are 2-2 on the season with losses to Sacramento State (70-69) and Utah (88-42) and wins over UC-San Diego (75-72) and Saint Katherine (102-49).
The Highlanders will take on Loyola Marymount on Wednesday before hosting ACU on Saturday.
