Men's Results | Women's Results

LUBBOCK, Texas
- Newcomer Xavier King and junior Alyse Goldsmith led their ACU cross country teams to the finish line for the second time in less than a week Friday night at the Texas Tech Red Raider Open.

King and Goldsmith each placed second at the Bill Libby/McMurry Invitational held last Saturday, and tonight at the Meadowbrook Golf Course they both posted top-20 showings against a deeper and more talented field.

Goldsmith placed 15th out of 85 runners on the 5K course with a time of 20:12.09, while King came in 20th out of 99 competitors at 27:10.78.

Junior Red Raider Kennedy Ktihuka crossed the finish line first in the men's race with a time of 23:38.44 to break the previous course record of 24:27.60 by nearly a minute.

Unattached competitor Lindsey Hinton won the 5K in 19:05.25 and was followed by three West Texas A&M runners.

The Wildcats return to action in two weeks for the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree.
