Wildcats Swarm SWA, 86-47

ABILENEMarc Little shot 70 percent from the floor, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, in leading the Abilene Christian Wildcats to a convincing 86-47 victory over Southwest Adventist.
 
Little finished the game with 18 points and was one of six Wildcats to score in double figures as ACU improved to 5-2, while the Knights dropped to 1-13.
 
Little also contributed five steals and tied Antonio Bell with a game-high six assists. Bell tallied 10 points, as did Dosh Simms and Ben Warton. Simms also earned a double-double complete with 11 rebounds.
 
Elsewhere on the court Kendall Durant poured in 13 points, while Zach Williams knocked down six baskets in finishing with 16 points.
 
ACU took control of the game late in the first half when the trio of Little, Durant and Bell connected on six of their last seven 3-point attempts, extending a five-point advantage (15-10) with 7:47 remaining into a 23-point halftime lead (43-20).
 
Little buried the first of three straight Wildcat 3-pointers at the 6:55 mark. Durant then hit one to put ACU up by nine, and Bell connected with 5:18 remaining in pushing the Wildcat lead to 13.
 
This same trio again dropped three straight long-range bombs over a span of 85 seconds with about two minutes to play, and then Little added a fade away jumper at the buzzer.
 
ACU shot 62 percent in the first half and didn't come close to slowing down in the second half, as it connected on 58.6 percent of its shots. The Wildcats' secured their biggest lead of the game at 42 points with 3:25 remaining after Little hit his fourth and final 3-point bucket.
 
In addition to scoring 30 points from long distance, the Wildcats also tallied 44 points in the paint and had 39 points off 26 Knight turnovers.
 
Terry Eichleberg and Richard Davis led Southwest Adventist with 16 and 13 points, respectively.
