Wildcats Continue Homestand

ABILENE – The Wildcats men's basketball team is in the early stages of six home games to open the season as they face Dallas Christian on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Wildcats treated fans on Tuesday to a 116-74 victory over Baptist Bible College. Five Wildcats scored in double digits with Pairs Junior College transfer, Eddie Thompson, leading the way with 20 points. 

Junior Girodan Cole was impressive in his Wildcats debut recording a double-double as did Ben Warton. Cole finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds while Warton set a career high adding 15 and grabbing 10 boards.

The Wildcats scored 100 points in a season opener for the eight time and recorded their fourth highest point total to open the season.

ACU plays 10 of their first 13 games inside Moody Coliseum to start the season. The Wildcats face two more NCCAA opponents with Dallas Christian on Saturday and Hillsdale Free Will College next week on Monday.
