WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- Abilene Christian's opening Lone Star Conference series of the season has been pushed back again because of this weekend's weather forecast in Oklahoma.
The forecast for snow and cold in the Weatherford, Okla., area has forced the ACU-Southwestern Oklahoma State series to Sunday and Monday after it was originally scheduled to be played Friday-Sunday. The series will instead begin Sunday at noon with a doubleheader and will conclude with a doubleheader at noon Monday.
The Wildcats -- 1-5 on the season after playing two tough series against Delta State and Southern Arkansas, both of which are 10th in the nation in this week's Collegiate Baseball magazine poll -- will then go to San Antonio on Tuesday to take on St. Mary's in a single game at 4 p.m. The Wildcats will return home next weekend for a four-game LSC series against Central Oklahoma starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
