ABILENE -- Near the end of the NCAA Division II South Central Region Tournament last year at Crutcher Scott Field, ACU head coach Britt Bonneau ? whose team had gone 1-2 before being eliminated ? knew he had to change the makeup of his team going into the 2007 season.
That's because at last year's regional, the Wildcats had 33 hits in three games, although all of them were singles, and they only produced 16 runs in 27 innings of baseball. If the Wildcats were going to get back into the winner's circle in post-season play, Bonneau knew something had to change.
And that change had to be in how the Wildcats approached the game.
