ACU hosts Zias, Lady Buffs in key matches
Wildcats looking for 5-0 LSC South start with pair of home matches
ABILENE -- The ACU volleyball team returns to Lone Star Conference South Division action this weekend by hosting Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M to end the first half of division play.
The Wildcats will host Eastern New Mexico at 7 p.m. Thursday in Moody Coliseum, followed by a 2 p.m. match Saturday against West Texas A&M in Moody Coliseum. Both matches will be carried live on KYYW 1470 AM, as well as on the internet at www.teamline.cc.
ACU enters the weekend ranked No. 14 in the nation and riding a 14-match winning streak this season, the second-longest such streak in school history behind the15-match winning streak by the 1993 team. The Wildcats have also won 29 straight matches at Moody Coliseum dating back to a four-game loss to West Texas A&M on Oct. 11, 2003. ACU is 9-0 at home this season, including a pair of 3-0 sweeps last week against Angelo State and St. Mary's.
