ACU set for big road trip
Wildcats open season at Arkansas, Western Kentucky
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The ACU men's basketball team will get its season started this weekend with a pair of exhibition games against NCAA Division I opponents in Arkansas and Western Kentucky.
The Wildcats and Razorbacks will tipoff at 7:05 p.m. Friday from Bud Walton Arena, while the Wildcats and Hilltoppers will tipoff at 8 p.m. Saturday from E.A. Diddle Arena. Both games can be heard locally on the radio at KSLI 1280 AM, and on the internet at www.tsrnsports.com.
The Razorbacks are coached by Stan Heath, who was the head coach at Kent State when current ACU head coach Klint Pleasant was an assistant coach at KSU. Both men led KSU to an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the spring of 2002. That run pushed Heath to Arkansas and Pleasant to ACU.
