Kristal Robeson inks national letter-of-intent

ABILENE -- Hurst L.D. Bell guard Kristal Robeson has signed a binding national letter-of-intent to play college basketball at Abilene Christian University. ACU head coach Wayne Williams announced the signing Tuesday.

Robeson, a 5-5 senior, is one of the top guards in the Metroplex. She averaged 18.1 points, 3.0 assists and 3.2 steals per game last year for the Lady Raiders of L.D. Bell High School. She hit 45.2 percent of her 3-pointers (70 of 155) and 76.5 of her free throws (52 of 68) in a season that was cut short by a knee injury.

Last year she was named first team all-district and the district's Offensive Player of the Year. She was also named team MVP and was all-tournament at the Birdville Tournament.

As a sophomore she was first team all-district and was the winner of the team's Hustle Award. She was honorable mention all-district as a freshman.
