ACU set for scrimmage

ABILENE -- The ACU Wildcats will go through a 75-minute situational scrimmage Saturday morning at the Wally Bullington Practice Facility as they prepare for next Saturday's 2010 season-opener.

The scrimmage will get started at 9 a.m. at the ACU practice facility on campus and should be done by around 10:15 a.m.

ACU head coach Chris Thomsen said the team will go through in-game situations that they haven't covered yet in practice. The seventh-ranked Wildcats will open the 2010 season next Saturday in Topeka, Kan., against 10th-ranked Washburn.
