Wildcats Add Seven for 2010

ABILENE – ACU soccer Head Coach Casey Wilson announced Tuesday the signing of seven new Wildcats for the upcoming 2010 season. The Wildcats are coming off only their third varsity season posting a 10-7-2 overall record and 5-3-2 conference record.
The seven new members for the Wildcats include six from Texas and on from Oklahoma. Listed below are the 2010 signees:

- · Roxy Marsh (Wylie High School) Abilene,TX
- · Kristen Cavallo (LD Bell High School) Bedford, TX
- · Brie Buschman (Canyon Randall High School) Amarillo, TX
- · Andrea carpenter (Canyon Randall High School) Amarillo, TX
- · Jacey Ferrara (McNeil High School) Austin, TX
- · Sara Chalmers (Bishop Kelley High School) Tulsa, OK
“As a coaching staff we are very pleased with this new group of signees. We have an excellent group returning from last year including three key redshirts. Each year we strive to find a balanced team with solid depth. We are optimistic about the potential of the ACU soccer team this fall. We expect each of these new players to make an immediate impact,” said head coach Casey Wilson.
ACU is coming off their first 10 win season and second consecutive trip to the Lone Star Conference tournament. Also the Wildcats success brought their highest ranking in the program's short history as they were ranked as high as No. 3 in the NCAA DII South Central Region poll.
