ABILENE -- Inclement weather in the North Texas area have forced postponements of ACU baseball and softball games for Tuesday.

The ACU baseball team (4-0) was to have played in Fort Worth on Tuesday against NAIA powerhouse Texas Wesleyan, but with a forecast calling for freezing temperatures the game was postponed.  Instead, the Wildcats will host Texas Wesleyan at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30.  ACU will make the return trip to Texas Wesleyan on Tuesday, April 6, for a single game at 4 p.m.

ACU was able to get Texas Wesleyan to come to Abilene on March 30 after Incarnate Word canceled its game against the Wildcats, which was set for April 13 in Abilene.

The ACU softball team also saw its Tuesday doubleheader against Midwestern State in Wichita Falls postponed because of the threat of poor weather.  Instead the Wildcats will play in Wichita Falls at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 4.

ACU's own CBS Insurance Softball Classic has been pushed back this weekend to a Saturday-Sunday format because of the threat of poor weather on Friday.  The tournament will get started with four games Saturday starting at 11 a.m. and will conclude with four more games Sunday starting at 10 a.m.

ACU will play Saturday at 3:45 p.m. (vs. Cameron) and at 6 p.m. (vs. SE Oklahoma State) and will then play at noon Sunday (vs. Emporia State) and again at 4 p.m. (vs. SE Oklahoma State).
