NEW YORK, N.Y. – The ACU Wildcats will begin the 2010 spring golf season ranked No. 19 in the nation, according to the Golf World / NIKE Golf NCAA Division II coaches' poll, which was released in late December.

The Wildcats actually picked up one first-place vote, joining No. 1 Barry (Fla.), No. 4 Cal State-Chico, No. 13 Nova Southeastern and No. 15 Central Missouri as the only schools to earn first-place votes in the poll.

The Wildcats enjoyed a solid fall season in 2009, finishing in the top seven in all four of their tournament, including two top-three finishes.  ACU was third at both The Territory Classic in Duncan, Okla., and the Bruce Williams Classic in San Antonio.

ACU head coach Mike Campbell's team is led by junior Cyril Bouniol and freshman twins Alex and Adam Carpenter.  Adam Carpenter won the individual medalist title at the Charles Coody West Texas Intercollegiate back in September, while Alex Carpenter won the individual title at The Territory Classic the next week.
